The Frame House

We drew the surrounding landscape into perfectly proportioned frames. The intuitive lines and planes, left after stripping away complex forms, simply connect the external nature with the internal sanctuary. By utilizing the natural textures of the materials, we imparted a solidity that remains unchanged over time.

Despite being adjacent to a road, as it is located in a Growth Management Planning Zone, obtaining land use consent was essential for legal vehicle access. Additionally, due to exclusion from public sewage inflow, a small septic tank was installed for the project.
